Set up in 2005, Maui Preparatory Academy is an private college preparatory school for day pupils in preschool through 8th grade, and both day and boarding pupils for high school. Maui Prep Summer Academy is divided into two three-week periods. Many participants in each session opt for one topic major (1.0 credit) and two subject minors (0.5 credits each). With the exception of SCUBA, all majors take place in the morning period of every day, Monday through Saturday. All minors take place in the afternoon period, with some taking place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and others taking place Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Maui Prep produces a residential home environment that cultivates the cognitive and emotional maturity of our pupils. Our first class tutors and residential advisors care for for pupils as their own and direct their orientation and integration into Maui Prep community life. Individuals in the Maui Prep Summer Academy rapidly become a part of our ‘ohana (household) and foster profound life-long friendships through the courses, adventures, and fun dormitory team-building activities.

Our tutors and residential advisors are on hand continually to offer pupils with supervision and support, either intellectual or personal. Our residential lodgings make certain proper and fitting separation of male and female pupils. Our classrooms, meeting, and dining facilities are coeducational.
