How would modern man go about his daily activities without having to use the concept of zero? It seems inconceivable that a world that is denoted in assets that range into the billions and trillions (of fiat currency) could be remotely similar to an economic scheme that doesn't include the humble zero. What do I think? I think it can happen and I think that it could not. We certainly have the ability and the technology to destroy ourselves. Catastrophe lurks about until the moment it strikes. I think it can happen today, or it can happen December 21, 2012. However, I think we can still decide what the future will bring and that it is written by the decisions we make today.
